Maria has created and led strategic public relations programs for brands like Target Stores, The Container Store, Liz Claiborne, Godiva Chocolatier, Avon, Origins, Harry Winston, Montblanc, Canon U.S.A., Duracell, Mercedes-Benz USA, General Motors, and the Girl Scouts of the USA.
Under her leadership, her clients have won over 65 industry awards, no small feat when you consider that PR awards are judged on results meeting specific, measurable campaign objectives.
With a specialty in corporate social responsibility, she has spoken on the topic at seminars and universities (New York University, Columbia University, Fashion Institute of Technology) in the U.S. and the U.K.

Maria's cause-marketing work was cited as an exemplary example of the discipline in "#The New Brand Spirit" (Gower, 2013) and “Brand Spirit: How Cause- Related Marketing Builds Brands” (John Wiley & Sons, Ltd., 1999).
She is a contributor to the following books: “Inside the Minds: Open C-Suite Doors,” (Aspatore, Inc., 2005) and “Ways to Inspire and Incentivize Top Employees” (ExecBlueprints, Books24x7, 2005).
Maria has served on the Marketing Committee of the Food Bank of New York City.
She has served as Secretary on the board of The Foundation of Women Executives in Public Relations (WEPR) and co-chaired the organization’s Crystal Obelisk Award for Social Responsibility.
Maria is a member of the Public Relations Society of America and its Counselor’s Academy, is a PRSA Silver Anvil, NY PRSA Big Apple and SABRE Award judge. She has served on the board of New York Women in Communications (NYWICI).
